Only Murders In The Building Star Michael Cyril Creighton Relished Sparring With Zach Galifianakis In Season 4 Wasnt On My Bingo Card

Actor Michael Cyril Creighton Dishes on Sparring with Zach Galifianakis in Season 4 of "Only Murders in the Building"

"Wasn't On My Bingo Card!"

In an unexpected turn of events, Michael Cyril Creighton, known for his roles in "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" and "The OA," found himself squaring off against the comedic genius of Zach Galifianakis in the fourth season of the hit Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building."

Creighton's character, Howard, a documentarian who becomes entangled in the trio's murder investigation, clashes with Galifianakis's eccentric podcast host, Oliver Putnam.

A Dynamic Duo's Witty Sparring Matches

Creighton describes their on-screen chemistry as "a clash of titans" that brought out the best in both actors. "Working with Zach was like a master class in improvisation," he says. "He's so quick on his feet, and he always kept me on my toes."

The actors' playful banter and witty exchanges became a highlight of the season, adding a layer of humor to the show's already-intriguing murder plot.

Behind-the-Scenes Camaraderie

Despite their on-screen rivalry, Creighton and Galifianakis developed a close friendship off-camera. "Zach is one of the most genuine and kind people I've met in this industry," Creighton says. "We had a lot of laughs together."

The two actors often spent time together outside of work, sharing meals and discussing their experiences in the entertainment industry.

A Memorable Experience

Creighton reflects on his time working with Galifianakis as a highlight of his career. "It was an experience I'll never forget," he says. "I learned so much from him, not just about acting but also about life."

Creighton's performance as Howard earned him critical acclaim and solidified his status as a rising star in Hollywood. The fourth season of "Only Murders in the Building" is now streaming on Hulu.
