CHICAGO – The New Orleans Pelicans tonight won the NBA Draft Lottery 2019 presented by State Farm.
The Pelicans, who had the third-best lottery odds (14.5 percent) entering the lottery, will now have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
This is the first time the Pelicans have won the lottery since they moved to New Orleans in 2002.
The Memphis Grizzlies will have the No. 2 pick, followed by the New York Knicks at No. 3.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a great chance of landing the No. 1 pick with the best odds, will now pick at No. 5.
The 2019 NBA Draft will be held on June 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
